Strengthening technology and clarity direction, comprehensively improving the efficiency of animal disease monitoring

  • In order to effectively carry out animal disease monitoring work in 2024, improve the level of monitoring technology, and enhance the effectiveness of disease monitoring, the China Center for Animal Disease Prevention and Control held an animal disease monitoring technology training in Wuhan, Hubei from April 17th to 18th. Zhai Xinyan, the chief veterinary physician of the China Center for Animal Disease Prevention and Control, attended and gave a speech.
  • The training fully affirmed the animal disease monitoring work in 2023, analyzed in depth the situation and tasks faced by animal disease reporting and monitoring work, and put forward clear requirements for doing well in the monitoring work in 2024. The China Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center introduced the national monitoring of animal diseases in 2023 and provided training on laboratory testing standards for spring and autumn prevention samples. The training also invited experts from Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Harbin Veterinary Research Institute and China Veterinary Drug Supervision Institute to give special presentations on the epidemic status and diagnostic and monitoring technologies of foot and mouth disease, highly pathogenic avian influenza, African swine fever, brucellosis and bovine tuberculosis.
  • More than 80 people, including officials and business backbones from animal disease prevention and control institutions in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, participated in the training.
